The same batch of mixed rubber, handled in different workshops or by different technicians, can result in finished products that may resemble a work of art or a piece of street stall merchandise. 流程控制贯穿整个生产周期。炼胶结束后，混炼胶通常不能马上拿去硫化。在硅胶工程学里，有一个必不可少却常被外行忽视的环节——停放。刚经过剧烈机械剪切的胶料内应力巨大，必须放在恒温恒湿的房间里静置十几个甚至二十四个小时。这期间，白炭黑粒子与生胶分子在平静中进一步浸润，结构化控制剂也在充分反应。如果跳过这一步或者停放时间不足，胶料的收缩率就会变得极不稳定，导致硅胶密封件在成型后尺寸偏差过大，装不进客户的零件槽里。
Process control runs throughout the entire production cycle. After the rubber mixing is completed, the compounded rubber usually cannot be vulcanized immediately. In silicone engineering, there is an indispensable step that is often overlooked by outsiders — resting. The rubber, having just undergone intense mechanical shearing, contains significant internal stress and must be left to rest in a controlled temperature and humidity room for several hours or even up to twenty-four hours. During this period, the silica particles and raw rubber molecules further penetrate each other in a calm state, and the structuring agents fully react. If this step is skipped or the resting time is insufficient, the shrinkage rate of the rubber will become highly unstable, causing silicone seals to have excessive dimensional deviations after molding and be unable to fit into the customer’s part slots.
进入硫化车间后，流程控制更加数字化、可视化。现代化的注射成型机通过传感器实时监控模具的模温和注射压力。当温度曲线发生丝毫偏移，或者胶料在模腔内流动不畅造成缺料时，系统会自动报警并剔除次品。这里的重点在于“稳定均一”，要把模具几十个模腔的温度差控制在正负1℃以内，才能保证同一模出来的所有硅胶产品，弹性和硬度都像一个模子刻出来的。
After entering the vulcanization workshop, process control becomes more digital and visualized. Modern injection molding machines monitor the mold temperature and injection pressure in real time through sensors. If the temperature curve deviates even slightly, or if the material flow in the mold cavity is obstructed causing shortages, the system will automatically trigger an alarm and discard the defective products. The emphasis here is on ‘stability and uniformity’; the temperature difference among the dozens of mold cavities must be controlled within ±1°C to ensure that all silicone products molded from the same mold have the same elasticity and hardness, as if they were cut from a single mold.
最后的检验环节也是流程控制的高潮。除了人工目检有无毛边、色斑，还需要上全自动视觉筛选机进行影像比对，并通过气密性测试仪去考验每一个密封件。一旦某个批次出现异常波动，优秀的工厂会马上反向追溯：是炼胶温度高了？还是硫化时间短了？只有当每一个步骤都踩在标准的节拍上，最终出厂的硅胶制品才能拥有那种让人爱不释手的完美品相。
The final inspection stage is also the climax of process control. In addition to manual visual checks for burrs or discoloration, a fully automatic vision screening machine is required for image comparison, and each seal is tested using an airtightness tester. Once an abnormal fluctuation occurs in a batch, a proficient factory will immediately trace it backward: Was the rubber mixing temperature too high? Or was the vulcanization time too short? Only when every step adheres to the standard rhythm can the silicone products leaving the factory achieve the flawless quality that makes them irresistible.
