Shout-out to my friend, RR:

  • Plantar Fasciitis – Straining and inflammation of the plantar aponeurosis, often caused by running and high-impact aerobics, especially when inappropriate footware such as worn-out shoes are worn. Plantar fasciitis causes pain on the plantar surface of the heel and on the medial aspect of the foot. The pain is often most severe after sitting and when beginning to walk in the morning. Point tenderness is located at the proximal attachment of the aponeurosis to the medial tubercle of the calcaneus and on the medial surface of the bone. The pain increases with passive dorsiflexion of the great toe.

Shout-out to my friend, The Danger:

  • Gilbert Disease (also known as familial nonhemolytic jaundice) – Mild form of the hepathic disorder due to increased amounts of unconjugated bilirubin in the plasma without evidence of liver damage, biliary obstruction, or hemolysis; thought to be due to an inborn error of metabolism in which the excretion of bilirubin by the liver is defective.

Shout-out to my friend AD:

  • Porphyria – The deleterious accumulation of porphyrin intermediates due to the defect of one of the eight enzymes used to biosynthetically make heme. Symptoms may include photosensitivity/blistering in the skin, anemia, and eventual liver and skin damage. There is a genetic factor to this disease, though because this is actually a classification of a large family of diseases, clinical presentations are often varied, based on the specific defects found in the biosynthetic pathway and on the structure of heme.
