In the wide world of medical school, I’m learning about the lungs. I’m actually taking the time to post on my now very unpopular blog because I need a breather.

An empyema is a collection of pus in an empty space in the body, such as the space surrounding the lung (pleural space). But all this time I thought that empyema was the place that girl was from in the song, “The Girl From Empyema.”
