Valentine's Day?? 3

Posted by K-Lai Mon, 11 Feb 2008 12:34:00 GMT

In honor of Valentine’s Day, prepare to be amused:

Answer the following….

1. If you could have any Celebrity Valentine, who would it be?

Sara Watkins. I can’t say that I really have any celebrity crushes, but I think it’d be pretty fun to go out with Sara, since she’s amazing.

2. What is your idea of a romantic date?

Hmm…what to put here that wouldn’t incriminate myself… Well, I think that a romantic date would include time spent laughing and having a good time together, as well as time spent talking and listening. Maybe doing something special or out of the ordinary that would be memorable. Is that vague enough for you?

3. Do you prefer chocolates or flowers on Valentine’s Day?

Neither, actually. Of course, being the guy, I’m guessing that that’s not really meant to be a question directed towards me. I guess it depends on who I’d be giving the flowers/chocolate to.

4. What is your favorite romantic movie? romantic book?

I’m a pretty big fan of You’ve Got Mail. I know that’s kinda silly and probably far more information than you’d like to know, but it’s true. Say all you want about the unoriginal plot and the cheesy dialogue, but hey, there’s something about hearing Tom Hanks say, ”...as long as we both shall live” that always makes me laugh. I think it’s because it reminds me of E-Group during my senior year in college, when I was putting together a video montage and watched that scene about 30 times, trying to get the timing just right. Cottle knows what I’m talking about.

My favorite romantic book? I don’t really read that many romances. Pride And Prejudice is always a good choice; so is Redeeming Love. I think that covers the extent of my romantic book reading, unless you count Song Of Solomon.

5. Do you like those ‘conversation hearts’ or do you think they taste gross?

I think they taste gross. I do like the idea that you can create your own conversation hearts, where you can put together your own messages. I’d never actually eat them though, they taste like really bad breath mints. Maybe one of the messages I’d write is “This will help your breath.” Okay, probably not.

6. Who is your Valentine this year?

I don’t think I have one. I haven’t ever had a Valentine, come to think of it. Everyone can be my Valentine.

Extra word association: I say…you think…

1. Valentine - The day before Tom’s birthday
2. Cute - Mini Coopers
3. Romantic - The first thing that came to mind were “Rotic” dinners that the BSU girls would put on (“Romantic without the man”) and the guy response to that, the “Bathba” nights (“Bathsheba without the she”). I don’t know. I can’t say that was a particularly glorifying time in my past.
4. Red - October. I just watched the Family Guy Star Wars episode, “Blue Harvest.” “Red 5 standing by.” “Red Fox standing by.” (in a Sean Connery accent) “Red October standing by.”
5. Flowers - Bambi.
6. Candy - Candy, candy corn, candy cane, and syrup. And Erin Rex’s older sister.
7. Cupid - Bugs Bunny.

Joe The Carboxylic Acid 2

Posted by K-Lai Fri, 05 May 2006 18:17:00 GMT

My friend, Sarah Crain (soon to be Sarah Wu), has kept some crazy stories that I wrote once upon a long time ago. Here is one about a little carboxylic acid named Joe:

There was this carboxylic acid named Joe who was tired of the how acidic his personality was so he wished for all his might that he might be able to get back to the basics of who he was. He met up with this secondary amine, and he could sense the chemistry between them. After it was all over, Joe felt a bit dehydrated, but he was now a happy amide, ready to take on the challenges of the world once again. The End.
